The Warehouse Operations Manager will report directly to the director of operations and is responsible for management of cost-effective branch operations including warehouse & distribution, facilities, and customer service. The Warehouse Operations Manager is a strong supporter of the sales team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Overseeing effective and cost-efficient branch operations, warehouse, deliveries, and customer service.
• Providing exceptional customer service to all East Penn Canada customers.
• Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the sales team.
• Effective management of the branch team by providing effective communication, training, coaching, and motivation.
• Ensuring a safe and efficient branch environment at all times.
• Ensuring ongoing effective liaison with Head office by tracking and providing appropriate reporting.

Minimum Requirements

• Post-Secondary education.
• Five plus years’ experience managing multiple teams (warehouse and customer service) and supporting sales teams.
• Solid knowledge of logistics.
• Customer focused; coaches others for exceptional customer service orientation.
• Experience with SAP is an asset.
• Proven ability to manage, lead, and provide an environment within which employees are self-motivated to meet performance standards.
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of automotive battery applications and specifications is a definite asset.
• Able to identify and implement improvements.
