Job Title: Factory Buyer

Annual Base Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000

What you will be doing:

The Factory Buyer will report to the Purchasing Manager and will support and execute the day-to-day purchasing of direct materials and direct production materials required for their designated factory. They will also be responsible for:

  • Creating POs in the ERP system, expediting back orders, ensuring a full circle ordering process while maintaining a clean and organized ERP system.
  • Inventory management of all assigned direct materials.
  • Goods receipt follow-up.
  • Focal point of contact for invoice queries.
  • Monitoring regional Material Planning KPIs.
  • Supporting supplier performance measurements.
  • Ensuring operational implementation of contracts.
  • Identifying emerging risks in supply.
  • Handling minor claims for the regional area in agreement with the Category Manager.
  • Ensuring efficiency in the function and alignment with all stakeholders.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Traveling as necessary.

What you bring:

  • 3-5 years of industrial purchasing experience.
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with SAP or any ERP system for material purchases and reporting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing principles.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred).

Experience:

  • Purchasing within manufacturing and production space: 5 years (required).
