What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop Python code and French prose prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance CoCounsel's functionality
- Collaborate with legal professionals to gather and understand requirements for application development
- Integrate LLMs into multi-step systems, assessing their performance and making necessary improvements
- Write, test, and iterate French prose prompts to ensure legally sound and contextually appropriate responses
- Interface with APIs and SQL databases to support application development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Highly proficient in written and spoken French
- Legal domain expertise, including experience in legal practice or a JD-holder
- 1-2 years of production-level experience in software engineering on an engineering/product team
- Proficiency in Python or strong experience in other programming languages
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience using large language models through code, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models like Llama and Mistral
- Strong experience with APIs and SQL
