Senior DBA

Advance your career as a Senior DBA at Viterra. Your familiarity with the principles of ITIL and strong experience with Oracle database administration ensures the successful support, maintenance, performance, security, and recoverability of all highly transactional databases. What you’ll do

• Manage database administration, including automating tasks, monitoring performance, investigating problems, and performing routine configuration
• Interpret installation standards to meet project needs and develop physical database design elements to meet data requirements
• Apply controls and procedures to develop and implement requests for change
• Maintain application support processes and use application management software to investigate issues, collect performance statistics, and create reports
• Investigate and resolve systems problems, collaborate with others to implement remedies and preventative measures, and support the improvement of problem management processes
• Design, code, and test complex programs and integration software services
• Assess release components for input to release scheduling and maintain tools and methods for software delivery, deployment, and configuration

What you bring to our team

• Strong Oracle database administrator (DBA) experience
• Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL and experience working with and troubleshooting Oracle, DB2 and SQL databases in an enterprise corporate environment
• Customer service orientation, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a team environment
• At least 8 years of relevant experience
