We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Director of Finance to lead our financial operations in a dynamic SaaS environment. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, this role requires a strong partnership with the VP of Finance to drive operational efficiency, financial performance, and strategic growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a data-driven mindset, technological expertise, and a passion for scaling financial processes to support business objectives.
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Partner with the VP of Finance to align financial strategy with operational goals and business growth plans.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, offering clarity on resource allocation and business performance.
- Strong analytical mindset to identify trends, outliers, and potential risks in financial and operational data.
- Creative problem-solving skills to derive insights and actionable recommendations from ambiguous or incomplete data.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost efficiencies across the organization.
- Design and implement scalable financial systems and processes to support rapid growth and operational excellence.
- Optimize cash flow management, working capital, and expense controls to enhance profitability.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Work closely with the VP of Finance to build and maintain robust financial analytics frameworks, tracking KPIs such as revenue, customer churn, and operational margins.
- Develop predictive models and scenario analyses to evaluate business decisions and operational strategies.
- Provide in-depth analysis on SaaS-specific metrics (e.g., MRR, ARR, LTV/CAC) to inform executive decision-making.
Technology & Financial Systems
- Partner with the VP of Finance to evaluate, select, and implement financial technologies that enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Oversee the integration of financial systems with operational tools to ensure seamless data flow and reporting.
- Leverage BI platforms and other advanced tools for real-time analytics and decision support.
Experience:
- 10+ years in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally in a SaaS or tech-driven organization.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, etc.), financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Intacct), and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work closely with executive leaders to align financial operations with business goals.
- Operational Expertise: Strong track record of driving process improvements and managing financial operations in a high-growth environment.
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in financial modeling.
- Experience with subscription-based revenue models and scaling SaaS businesses.
- Knowledge of global financial operations, including currency management and international compliance.
