Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Associate I to join the Legrand Canada team in Vaughn, ON.

The Distribution Center “Dock Assistant” is responsible for assisting other members of the Distribution team in completing their assigned tasks. Core areas include shipping and facility upkeep.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Safety: support and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your peers
  • Perform any and all duties as prescribed by the DC Team Leader
  • Work in a respectful manner at all times
  • Ability to take direction from multiple sources
  • Responsible for unloading shipping line of boxes
  • Wrap completed pallets
  • Load pallets onto trucks
  • Collect and empty waste/recycling containers
  • Sweep and/or clean floors with powered floor scrubber
  • Take direction from Team Leader, assist peers as required
  • Maintain effective and efficient relations with Team members
  • Participate and support all facility and corporate initiatives

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma - Mandatory
  • Experience in a Distribution Center, Warehouse or similar preferred

Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong English language skills, both written and oral
  • Strong sense of urgency and time management skills
  • Ability to use operations equipment, manual pallet jack and automated pallet wrap machine (training provided)
  • Must be able to work both as an independent contributor and within a team
  • Ability to lift
