Scope Of Position
Ensure timely delivery of master coils into the processors. Ensure ready finished goods to support customer production by analyzing weekly order releases against finished goods inventory and issuing purchase orders for any inventory shortfalls. Support inventory reporting. Inventory shortages to HCM suppliers could result in line shutdown and significant financial and production loss for HCM.

Principal Functional Responsibilities

  • Processing Orders:
    Analyze on-hand inventory to ensure sufficient inventory coverage for stamper’s next week requirements, analyze any shortages and review with all stakeholders. Failure to accurately account and advise Sales for inventory shortages to HCM suppliers could result in line shutdown and significant financial and production loss for HCM. Analyze and issue processing orders to the proper processors in advance, and minimize overall FG inventory (no more than 2 months in total), minimize slit loss and balancing FG inventory, support aged inventory reporting, monitoring inventory levels at Processors to maintain inventory levels at set month supply.
  • Master Delivery:
    Schedule and track master coil deliveries, follow up with supplier on late deliveries and support resolution. Receive in the deliveries on the EDI report on a daily basis, open and close all purchase orders, and have weekly conference calls when needed to review with Account rep for any critical supply issues.
  • Inventory Reconciliation:
    Complete inventory reconciliation periodically throughout the month. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare multiple reports to support month end reporting and monthly inventory presentation (Aged inventory report, Inventory reconciliation for warehouses, Slit loss report, Interest breakdown report, Inventory Data report, Processing Plan VS Actual spreadsheet, and prepare the Offcut report for the scrap sale). Update system with non-conformance report (NCR) information to support claim process.
  • Yearly Action Plan Support:
    Support as required the team's yearly action plan initiatives.
  • Customer and Account Rep Support:
    Support Inventory Account Rep. on inventory ordering and back up as required, field customer calls & requests for all areas and address immediate issues utilizing 1R 2C’s (report, consult, communicate). Also provide support to the Quality department.

Position Profile And Qualifications
  • Personal Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in inventory, purchasing or sales administration
  • Post-secondary education in Business and/or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical ability, reasoning, and persuasive skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Strong eye for detail, ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Strong communicator
  • Must be a team player
