Peter Ballantyne Field Services is looking for a responsible, reliable, and safety-conscious individual to fill the position of Personnel Transport Driver. The ideal candidate will ensure timely, efficient, and safe transportation of personnel between designated locations while adhering to all safety guidelines and company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely drive personnel to and from designated locations, including work sites, meetings, or special events, using company vehicles.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals and avoid unnecessary delays.
- Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, including monitoring fuel levels, tire pressure, and other basic maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving, ensuring the safety of all passengers.
- Maintain communication with the transportation coordinator or management team regarding any changes in schedule, delays, or incidents on the road.
- Maintain accurate logs of transport routes, fuel usage, vehicle inspections, and any incidents or delays.
- Respond to emergencies or incidents in a calm and effective manner, following company procedures.
- Assist with coordinating personnel schedules, arranging transport schedules for groups or individual employees, and any other tasks related to personnel transport operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a driver or in a similar transportation role (preferred).
- Familiarity with traffic laws, road safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and routes efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with personnel and management teams.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and navigate through traffic safely.
- Knowledge of GPS and route planning tools (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Full-time with flexible hours depending on the transportation schedule.
- Regular shifts, with the possibility of early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
- Work is primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions and on the road.
- Travel between locations may involve long-distance or local trips.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Class 1 or 2 Drivers License
