Piping Designer

At TSG STAFFING SERVICES we are always recruiting in anticipation of our client’s future needs. As such, we are continuing to search for PIPING DESIGNERS, in an office role, for potential upcoming projects in the Saskatoon area.

Job Description:

• Conduct field visits and prepare engineering drawings from preliminary concepts and specifications, P&ID's, as-built drawings, field sketches, piping plans, isometrics and piping.
• Piping design layout and piping general arrangement in a plant environment using AutoPLANT and utilizing 2D and 3D AutoCAD software.
• Assist senior designers with verifying and checking design drawings to conform to specifications and client’s requirements and to prepare and develop documentation packages and construction drawing sets.
• Assure that work performed complies with the accuracy level and time constraints required for the project.
• Assist field forces during construction.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of an Engineering Design and Drafting Technology program from either NAIT or SAIT.
• 3-5 years of designing experience.
• Proficient in AutoPLANT and AutoCAD designing programs.
• Plant site experience would be an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
