Reliability Engineer

Minimum Requirements:
- University degree in an Engineering discipline or technologist course relevant to job/equipment function.
- 3 to 5 years working as a System/Vehicle Engineer preferably in Rail Transit industries with a track record of at least 2 to 3 years demonstrating application of Reliability methods and analysis.
- Experience in controlling and being accountable for results and overall performance of a project with demonstrated ability to manage & track multiple KPIs, data analysis, and Maximo user interface. Familiar with PowerBI.
- Excellent communication skills and impeccable ethics.
- Strong problem solving, project management, and planning/organizing skills.
- Outstanding knowledge of the MS Office suite and in-depth knowledge of Excel.
Responsibilities:
- Update the daily chart for the internal and external FRB, update the incident notes from L103 and L102 report to Alstom Power BI-FRB dashboard.
- Retrieve history, last inspection, repair, and recurrences from daily incidents, define the PPS score based on the severity for customer calls.
- Participate in FRB internal and external to make daily changes on the board, update the board for equipment monitoring, and open and close incidents.
- Provide weekly updates to the bowling chart to evaluate equipment performance on a monthly basis.
- Ensure the number of failures related to coaches and locomotives and type of failures through the monthly chart.
- Follow up on FAR requests and review documentation and details.
- Update reliability data, number of failures with detailed explanations in an Excel file for daily monitoring.
- Address RAMS deliverables to ensure all commitments are met and all customer recommendations, concerns, and issues.
- Provide practical recommendations relating to RAMS data and capitalize results to ensure performance improvements for the project.
- Ensure various KPIs and targets are clearly set in accordance with RAMS performance.
- Manage and perform technical analysis relating to fleet.
- Work with business process and reliability improvement techniques.
- Understand customers’ products including technical specifications.
- Select appropriate courses of action regarding equipment failures.
- Identify potential areas of risk/opportunity, close gaps, and escalate as needed.
- Make recommendations, measure, identify, and drive improvements in all aspects of fleet performance.
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to fleet performance.
- Champion reliability and availability analysis within the assigned areas of responsibility in the business. Promote optimization measures within the project.
- Support cultural change management with the ability to address issues faced when introducing business improvement techniques.
- Create, track, and present overall Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
- Support Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving using RCM methodologies or agreed appropriate tools.
- Ensure adherence to all Health Safety and Environmental policies, processes, and procedures.
- Advise Senior Management of any developing or potential issues.
- Produce timely relevant periodic reports as required.
