Background & Purpose of the Job
The Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright/Electrician) will be responsible for providing service to production, and all other functional areas at the manufacturing site. This position requires the individual to complete repair and maintenance of production-related equipment and systems. The Maintenance Mechanic shall be professionally competent and qualified to operate safely.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

  1. Diagnose machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
  2. Repair and capture appropriate details of breakdowns
  3. Perform scheduled Preventative and Predictive maintenance services
  4. Fill out logs and have professional communication with Supervisors, Managers, and equipment operators

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  1. Post-secondary education and valid Electrician ticket (309A or 442A) or Millwright ticket (433A) in good standing (Ontario)
  2. Experience of working as part of an extended team within the Manufacturing sector
  3. Proven mechanical aptitude
  4. Experience with pneumatics/hydraulics and related control circuits
  5. Experience with basic PLC diagnostics
  6. Ability to work shift patterns 24/7
  7. Welding experience an asset
