Head Chef

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on food safety and quality. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, menu development, and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing the kitchen staff and fostering a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  2. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  3. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  5. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  6. Manage kitchen schedules, ensuring adequate staffing during peak hours.
  7. Implement cost control measures to minimize waste while maintaining quality standards.
  8. Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continuously improve offerings.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  3. Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff.
  4. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
  6. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
  7. A creative mindset with the ability to develop unique menu items that appeal to diverse clientele.

Pay

$18.30-$20.95 per hour

Expected Hours

40 per week
