You will ensure continuous communication with internal customers in Finance, Operations, and Sales/Marketing in order to fully understand their 'informational' needs. This role requires excellent communication techniques and strong technical skills to provide a high level of service regarding business analytics and reporting.
You Will...
Develop meaningful, actionable reports for internal clients using various reporting/query tools, like MS SQL Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Dashboards, Excel, etc.
Always be on the lookout for ways to improve existing reports, data, and business processes.
Run ad hoc reports and queries from our client's data warehouse for Finance and Operations.
Import, export, and integrate data between systems.
Identify critical areas of the data structure and come up with creative ways to improve the performance of the reporting.
Document data systems.
Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network.
You Have...
A completed University Degree.
Strong reporting skills (report design) experience, using reporting applications such as Crystal Reports, Cognos PowerPlay/Transformer/Impromptu, MS-SQL Server Reporting Services, etc.
Strong MS SQL Server (2000/2005) skills (table, view, DTS packages, stored procedure designs) and techniques of system integration (MSMQ, XML, Web Services, flat files, etc.).
Understanding of the concept of relational databases and data warehousing.
Very strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented personality.
“Client Service” mentality.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Nice to haves, but not required: Visio, EDI, Navision, MS Project, knowledge of finance/accounting.
