About Us:
Join our Release Tooling Team, where we build powerful internal developer tools to streamline application release processes across PlayStation consoles, web, mobile, and PC. Our team focuses on developing robust, user-friendly tools that empower developers to deliver high-quality software quickly and confidently.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Full Stack Web Developer on the Release Tooling Team, you will:
- Design and Develop: Build full-stack web applications and internal tools that simplify and automate our application release workflows.
- Collaborate: Work closely with developers, QA, and operations teams to understand their needs and deliver impactful solutions.
- Optimize User Experience: Develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces using modern front-end frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
- Create Scalable Backends: Build secure and efficient backend systems and APIs using Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
- Streamline Processes: Automate repetitive tasks and manual workflows to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
- Integrate Systems: Interface with third-party platforms and internal APIs to aggregate and surface actionable data for release processes.
- Monitor and Maintain: Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of tools.
- Write Documentation: Create and maintain documentation, tutorials, and guides for the tools you build.
- Stay Innovative: Identify new technologies and approaches to improve development processes and release efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in modern web development frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
- Experience building RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL) and data modeling.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipelines.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document and share knowledge effectively.
- Bonus Skills:
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools.
- Experience working with developer-focused tools or platforms.
