• Subject Areas: Grades 5/6 Math and PE, ELA 7 and Foods 10

The Successful Candidate Will Possess The Following

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
• Experience and/or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies, embedded formative assessment, and varied summative assessments is essential
• Possess a strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning
• Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professional relationships with students
• Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectiveness as an educator
• A willingness to participate in extracurricular activities would be considered an asset

E.H. Walter School is a rural school in Paradise Valley. The school has a strong tradition of academics and athletics. Its connection to the community is a real positive and supportive relationship. The school serves approximately 185 students. Our focus has been on literacy and numeracy throughout all grades, in conjunction with the development of the whole child.

Paradise Valley is a rural community about halfway between Lloydminster and Wainwright, rich in agriculture and ranching. Many families have generations living in Paradise Valley or return to the community.
