Driver Recruiter - AB

iHaul has an immediate need for an experienced Driver Recruitment Manager to join our growing Transportation company located in Calgary, AB. iHaul offers a competitive salary based on experience and extended medical and dental coverage. We are a growing specialized trucking company with offices in Surrey, Langley, Lethbridge, and Calgary.

Job Summary
The Driver Recruiter is responsible for interviewing, testing, and referring applicants for driving positions throughout the company. You will be able to analyze the information provided on a prospective employee’s application form, conduct a thorough personal interview and determine the suitability of the applicant for employment.

Duties and Accountabilities

• Developing and implementing strategic recruiting plans.
• Ensuring a high level of recruiter accountability, in terms of recruiting activity and results.
• Coaching/counseling and development.
• Provide tactical direction on recruiting tactics and techniques, and resource allocation to assist with recruiter development and improve order fills.
• Through leadership, guidance, and coaching, improve average recruiter performance.
• Demonstrate leadership, coaching, and counseling abilities.
• Continuously improve processes and procedures.
• Maintain constructive working relationships with industry partners.
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experienced in all phases of productive recruiting with proven results in the quantified number of drivers in orientation class weekly.
• Assisting in keeping current all driver annual reviews, license, medical, and all renewals.

Required Education and Experience

• Experienced working knowledge of all D.O.T Regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in recruitment.
• Experienced in interviewing and hiring qualified Drivers.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Normal working hours will be Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
• Irregular working hours will occur from time to time due to operational requirements.
• Access to a reliable vehicle is required.
