Job DescriptionBy applying to this job, you are applying for the 2025 SPRING TURNAROUND. This role would be joining CEDA’s Mobile Workforce which staffs our turnaround events throughout the year.
Details:
- Start Date: Intake dates start mid-end of March, wrapping up by mid-end of April (exact training dates will be finalized in early 2025)
- Duration: The project(s) will last anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks. There is the possibility for redeployment to other projects or full-time work upon project completion.
- Location: Positions available in the following regions: Fort McMurray, Edmonton, Conklin, Regina, and Sarnia.
- Compensation: Candidates coming from out of town, rates start at $29/hr (travel and accommodations provided). Candidates local to the operating region, rates range from $29-$35/hr.
- Shift: 6x1 or 12x2 shifts at 10-12 hours per day, days and nights.
- Overtime: Overtime eligible! Shifts are based on an 8/44 rule.
- Accommodation and Travel: Provided by CEDA for candidates that are not local to the area.
- Training: You can build your skill set and equipment knowledge and acquire various industry tickets through CEDA's shutdown training program.
What you do:
- Work alongside Labourers assisting with the operation and maintenance of vacuum trucks, high pressure water equipment and various specialty tools.
- Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labour intensive capacity.
- Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment.
- Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment.
- Ensure safety for all team members and property.
- Provide quality services to our clients.
- Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment.
- Leave the job site in better condition than when we got there. Clean, safe and job done.
- Haul hoses, PPE and tools to where the work is being done.
- Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs.
- Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- Valid Class 1 or 3 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required.
- Experience operating a manual transmission is a strong asset.
- 1+ years of labour or operator experience in an industrial environment is an asset.
- Valid CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO) is required.
- Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications are an asset.
- Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
