We are currently looking for a full-time Drafting Technician who can work and reside around one of our many office locations throughout Western Canada. Explore Midwest Surveys for a map of our offices.

Applicant must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Validation of eligibility will be required if selected for an interview.

Duties

Working under the direct supervision of the Drafting Manager, the Drafting Technician will be responsible for creating plans using CAD and coordinate geometry software on Windows platform stations. Your duties will include and are not limited to:

• Producing all drafting-related products.
• Collaborating with internal staff and external clients using various communication tools to deliver an optimal product.
• Developing 2D drawings for use in survey plans.
• Understanding survey plan content, evaluating evidence descriptions, and adhering to company drafting standards and client requirements.

What you offer:

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Diploma in CAD Drafting or Engineering Design and Drafting.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in oil and gas surveying or equivalent relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map, or Civil.
• Strong drafting skills in both 2D and 3D environments, specifically related to surveying.
• Familiar with the township survey system.
