Job Description

We are seeking a part-time detail-oriented Drafting Technician to join our team and contribute to the development of precise and high-quality technical drawings for various projects at our Sherwood Park location.

  • Adhere to and maintain all drafting controls, policies, procedures and standards
  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
  • Support other areas of the business as required

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare diagrams, drafts and redlines for client specific projects, including design, layout and placement. Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
  • Review designs to reduce deficiencies
  • Operate computer assisted design (CAD)
  • Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
  • Consult with other team members regarding complex projects as needed
  • Provide timely updates for drawing completion and workload
  • Perform other work related tasks as required and as assigned

Qualifications

  • AutoCAD diploma
  • Minimum of two (2) years in oil and gas drafting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and GSuite (Google)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio and Adobe Writer or equivalent
  • Accuracy and detail oriented with good organization and prioritization skills
  • Experience in drafting within the Oil and Gas industry, specifically schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings

Additional Information

This position is for up to 20 hours per week with the potential for additional work in administrative related tasks.
