City Experiences is seeking a Dock Attendant for our City Cruises operation in Gananoque.

About the Opportunity:
The Dock Attendant will perform a variety of tasks to ensure a smooth operation of the docks. The Dock Attendant will work in a safe and efficient manner while providing a high level of customer service to all guests. This position reports to the Dock Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide amazing hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in RESPECT Service System.
- Manage guest traffic flow on and off the docks.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure the protection of passengers and the vessel.
- Handle lines to moor vessels to dock.
- Ensure docks are clean and free of any debris.
- Answer general inquiries and provide information about the facility.
- Immediately report any incidents or safety concerns to the Dock Manager.
- Provide amazing customer service and assist guests with questions or concerns and relay information to the Dock Manager.
- Assist Food & Beverage team with daily food delivery and restock of boats.
- Follow all safety policies, departmental policies, and service standards.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Be prepared to begin work at the scheduled time.
- Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- O.S.S.D. or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education.
- Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers.
- Must possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help others.
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential.
- If required, wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. non-slip shoes, gloves, weather-appropriate dress attire, sun protection).
- Valid Ontario driver's license, Class G2 or higher.
- Walk, stand, sit and work in all types of weather conditions for extended periods.
- Will work for extended periods of time without sitting.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull, move or lift up to 40 pounds (18 kilograms).
- Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays.
