Job description

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Territory Manager, the Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching propane deliveries to customers as well as providing customer service support on incoming customer lines. This position is also responsible for assisting in the planning and forecasting of workloads based on the branch demands and growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Communicate directly with drivers (and brokers if applicable) to manage current and upcoming delivery demand.
  • Prepare delivery ticket selections within CUE and manage day-to-day dispatching within AWE.
  • Produce and review various reports, including performance reports and make necessary adjustments (K factors).
  • Follow-up with drivers, manage new and cancelled accounts report, outstanding tickets, or special arrangement reports, and truck reports.
  • Review accounts put on STOP or cancelled accounts to ensure tickets are deleted.
  • Review and adjust customer account delivery parameters (tank size, K factor, HWH Flags, etc.) as needed.
  • Review weekend and overnight customer service inquiries with respect to delivery and take required action.
  • Maintain DD table within CUE and communicate to delivery team as required.
  • Utilize CUE & AWE systems and reports to manage delivery operations.
  • Assist/Train other staff on CUE delivery tools (i.e. delivery record setup, K-Factor, DD Due, Delivery profile, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot truck computer system and communicate with inside/outside support when necessary, with respect to AWE/CV30-31 software and hardware issues.
  • Provide customer service support on incoming customer calls.
  • Maintain awareness of Liquid Fuels Handling Code and other codes pertaining to the safe delivery of petroleum products.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years industry knowledge and experience required.
  • Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Professional driving or fleet dispatching experience is an asset.
