PeaceHealth is seeking a Director Supply Chain in Bellingham, Washington.
The Director of Supply Chain directs, controls, and is accountable for supply chain operations for the assigned region or ambulatory supply chain operations. Develops long- and short-term business strategies, operational plans, and oversees implementation. Manages the design, structure, development, and planning issues within the scope of direction. Responsible for quality, service, and regulatory compliance for areas of responsibility. Identifies areas of potential savings, implements, and provides input on system-wide initiatives. Organizes and facilitates supply chain management, acts as an agent for change, and works with departments to achieve cost optimization and consolidation of supplies, providing leadership in evaluating new opportunities and current operations to assure alignment with PeaceHealth Mission and Values, providing the highest quality supplies at the lowest cost.
What you will enjoy:
- Provides leadership for management of the assigned regional or ambulatory Supply Chain services serving all PeaceHealth facilities within that region, taking into account project scope, timelines, risks, and costs.
- Drives efforts to improve patient quality outcomes by leading supply chain efforts to improve product standardization and minimize supply chain inefficiencies. Partners with organizational leaders to ensure that operations and processes remain consistent and emulate best practices.
- Serves on Value Analysis Committees and system-wide committees for the review of materials resources and advises leadership on purchasing, contracts, inventory control, and other materials-related items.
- Maintains good vendor relations, serving as a liaison between customers and suppliers to assure cost-effectiveness.
- Establishes and maintains efficient, customer-focused, and accurate ordering, receiving, stocking, distribution, and inventory control systems.
- Oversees all Supply Chain functions within their assigned Network distribution processes, fostering a positive and proactive work environment.
- Manages departmental budget oversight, including routine monitoring, adjustment, and annual budget development process.
- Supervises the delivery system and ensures the timely and accurate delivery of goods and information.
- Supports supply chain products and services contracting, including implementation and service level agreements where applicable.
- May have oversight of the value analysis team or PeaceHealth Medical Group team, with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing.
- Develops and manages service level agreements (SLAs) with operating units to ensure the effective delivery of services to the system.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of Healthcare experience with emphasis in medical supplies, supply chain, or purchasing.
- Minimum of 5 years of Management experience.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to deliver financial results for areas of accountability and for supply expense for Network.
- Computer experience is required: proficient with MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical competence in core materials management functions including procurement, distribution, and logistics preferred.

- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $134,000 – $202,000 annually. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
