What you will be doing:
- Define the growth and retention strategies for the secured lending businesses, aligned with the Bank’s vision and strategy.
- Establish a product management framework encompassing product strategy, financial and product performance measurement, process and technology oversight and client experience.
- Determine and manage the key performance and risk indicators, including establishing departmental goals, projects and operational initiatives aligned with key business objectives.
- Define a capability roadmap for sales and servicing activities and partner with technology, operations, and vendors to achieve it.
- Own overall P&L and drive analysis and action to meet financial targets and optimize product performance.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the Bank to deliver effective acquisition, engagement, and risk management plans that will profitably grow the lending business.
- Collaborate with Credit Risk to deliver on business objectives and manage risk within appetite.
- Influence the end-to-end client value chain and cross-functional initiatives to continually improve usability and client satisfaction.
- Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team.
- Understand and comply with the Regulatory Compliance Framework including OSFI B-20, FCAC Guidelines, the Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing and Sanctions Policy and all AML related policies, procedures, and controls within the department.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
Education/Experience
- University degree in business administration, commerce, or strategy.
- 5-10 years of leadership experience, preferably including leading customer-facing and servicing teams.
- 10+ years of financial services experience, preferably including mortgage experience across functions and channels (direct and broker).
- Strong knowledge of mortgage processes, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape.
- Prior experience developing business strategies and roadmaps.
Knowledge/Skills
- P&L management.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work across cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
