Role: Director of Sales Western Canada
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Department: Residential Sales Home Services
Location: Western Canada preferred: Edmonton or Calgary with additional Travel - This is a Hybrid role
Summary:
The Director of Sales for Service Experts / Enercare Western Canada will have P&L responsibility for the Residential Sales business units in Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia. Reporting to the Vice President of Residential Sales, the Director of Sales Western Canada will lead and manage a team of Service Experts / Enercare Sales Managers and their respective field sales representatives who are renting/selling and installing HVAC, Water and Water Treatment systems. The successful candidate will reflect the understanding that satisfied customers and engaged employees earn Service Experts / Enercare “the Right to Grow” while keeping our Environmental Social Governance at the forefront of everything.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the department with approximately 50 employees and/or agents.
- Drive positive relationships with Service and Install operations, Procurement, Marketing, Sales Strategy lead resources, the VP of Western Canada and peers namely the Director of Sales for Eastern Canada.
- Drive in excess of $100M in revenue with a keen focus on rental continuity while maintaining gross margins from a best-in-class In-home sales with an aim to grow the business. Align the business to our three key pillars: Affordable sustainability, Digitalization and Actionable Intelligence/Resilience.
- Direct accountability for sales field performance within all 3 core products such as closing ratios; average sale values; gross margins; rental rate, combo rate and revenue per sale.
- Work collaboratively with all regions and your team to engage customer-facing field staff from service, install, plumbing and electrical to use Best Advice for our customers and the Business Generation that can be yielded by providing that exceptional customer service.
- Contribute to promotional; pricing, supplier and new product strategy.
- Direct compensation and reward & recognition programs for sales.
- Be a visible role model of Service Experts/Enercare values, skills and integrity.
- Create a high-performance sales culture based on managing commitments and delivering results.
- Manage compliance and refine current sales standards and processes to create a positive customer experience that delivers our brand values and an industry-leading Google review rating combined with best-in-class NPS scores.
- Develop and implement an annual sales plan that is linked to the Service Experts/Enercare Residential Strategic goals for all products the business has and adds to its value proposition.
- Develop and implement detailed quarterly tactical sales plans that leverage, support and execute key marketing and sale initiatives to deliver targets.
- Review results and implementation of planned sales initiatives on a quarterly basis with sales forecasts for the balance of the year.
- Produce a weekly sales report summarizing key results, trends and action plans.
- Ensure all performance appraisals are completed in a timely and accurate manner leading to the continuous improvement and development of staff capability and competency. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement through sharing of best practices across the entire Enercare sales organization.
Qualifications:- Sales leader with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience and a proven track record of mentoring, coaching, training and developing a sales team will be key.
- Undergraduate degree in business preferred, MBA or postgraduate degree a definite asset.
- Experience of examining and re-engineering sales processes and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Proven experience delivering top line revenue growth; management of P&L accountabilities and demonstrated record for delivery of positive EBIT and rental continuity.
- Must possess superior teaching and verbal skills with strong communication skills.
- Experience with Service Titan, Salesforce and Power BI an asset.
- Ability to work in a flexible and dynamic environment.
- Ability to give professional presentations.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ambiguous work environment.
- Ability to handle escalated customer issues.
- English speaking & French as an asset.
