Currently looking for a self-motivated, solution driven and highly efficient individual to lead our projects team as the Director of Project Management. Reporting to the VP Contracts, the Director of Project Management will be responsible for ensuring that the company is actively managing the team to foster positive client relationships, achieve productive work execution, and establish comprehensive project controls in order to deliver every project on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
Responsibilities:
Setting the vision and strategy for the project management department
Establishing and monitoring change management processes within the team
Developing the skillset and personal development plans for the project management team
Ensuring that team members are motivated and accountable for their required deliveries
Enhancing project management tools, processes, and methods to ensure that all the technical details of our project management process are comprehensively captured and systematically reviewed
Monitoring our invoicing and cash management cycles to ensure accurate billing and collections
Finalizing outstanding claims and leading the close-out process for projects
Acting as a liaison for major clients and stakeholders
Coordinating internal resources and finding solutions for third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
Assisting Project Managers in developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility of schedules
Working with team members to develop, maintain and drive forward the project schedule
Measuring and reporting on team project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques to track and report project progress
Performing risk management to minimize project risks
Qualifications:
Proven work experience in a Project Management role in the Steel or Construction Industry
A minimum of 15 years' experience in project management
Experience leading project teams in steel or construction projects
A background in structural steel related business units is considered a major asset including experience in drafting, estimating, engineering, or fabrication
Related degrees and/or designations and/or PMP designation is preferred
Ability to solve problems and contribute new ideas that improve quality and efficiency
Demonstrates effective change management skills
Ability to manage internal and external RFI tracking and administration
Exceptional client-facing and internal communication skills, written and verbal
Strong organizational and time management skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $90,125.86-$153,902.49 per year Benefits:
