JOB TITLE: Director, Product Marketing

LOCATION: Ottawa or Toronto

POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director, Product Marketing, plays a crucial role in developing and executing strategies for 1VALETs’ products. Creates tools and resources to support the sales process. The Director of Product Marketing serves as a key strategic leader, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, and sales to drive product success in the market. Their work is critical for effectively communicating a product's value proposition and driving adoption and revenue growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the overall product marketing strategy and vision
  • Develop go-to-market plans for new and existing products
  • Oversee the product positioning, messaging, and differentiation in the market
  • Manage end-to-end product launches, both internally and externally
  • Oversee the product lifecycle, from awareness to adoption in new market segments
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis
  • Develop user and buyer personas
  • Work closely with product management, sales, and other marketing teams
  • Align product marketing efforts with overall business objectives
  • Collaborate on pricing strategies and product roadmaps
  • Create marketing and sales materials to support internal teams and promote products externally
  • Measure and report on the performance of product marketing initiatives
  • Develop content like case studies, product videos, and website copy
  • Prepare analyses and recommendations for stakeholders
  • Create tools and resources to support the sales process
  • Manage and mentor the product marketing team
  • Provide guidance to junior product marketing personnel

QUALIFICATIONS:

10+ years in product marketing or related roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.

A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.

  • Familiarity with the Proptech or SaaS sectors
  • Experience managing products through all stages, from concept to launch and beyond.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with business goals.
  • Proficiency in market research and data analysis to inform decisions.
  • Strong team management skills to lead and mentor a marketing team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product development, sales, and other teams.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, tools, and metrics.
