JOB TITLE: Director, Product Marketing
LOCATION: Ottawa or Toronto
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director, Product Marketing plays a crucial role in developing and executing strategies for 1VALET's products. This role creates tools and resources to support the sales process and serves as a key strategic leader, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, and sales to drive product success in the market. Their work is critical for effectively communicating a product's value proposition and driving adoption and revenue growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the overall product marketing strategy and vision
- Develop go-to-market plans for new and existing products
- Oversee product positioning, messaging, and differentiation in the market
- Manage end-to-end product launches, both internally and externally
- Oversee the product lifecycle, from awareness to adoption in new market segments
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis
- Develop user and buyer personas
- Work closely with product management, sales, and other marketing teams
- Align product marketing efforts with overall business objectives
- Collaborate on pricing strategies and product roadmaps
- Create marketing and sales materials to support internal teams and promote products externally
- Measure and report on the performance of product marketing initiatives
- Develop content like case studies, product videos, and website copy
- Prepare analyses and recommendations for stakeholders
- Create tools and resources to support the sales process
- Manage and mentor the product marketing team
- Provide guidance to junior product marketing personnel
QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years in product marketing or related roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.
A bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
- Familiarity with the Proptech or SaaS sectors.
- Experience managing products through all stages, from concept to launch and beyond.
SKILLS:
- Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with business goals.
- Proficiency in market research and data analysis to inform decisions.
- Strong team management skills to lead and mentor a marketing team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product development, sales, and other teams.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, tools, and metrics.
