We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to design, build, and manage quality code in Ruby. As a Ruby on Rails Developer, your primary responsibility will be to develop full-stack logic and test its performance. You must ensure that the server-side components integrate with the front-end elements seamlessly and give the desired outputs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby on Rails code.
• Implement user interface components with server-side logic.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve issues, and actively engage with the customer support team to promptly address real-world challenges.

Requirements

Back-end Skills

• 2+ years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.
• Strong understanding of Ruby syntaxes and its nuances.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful.
• Experience in developing and consuming APIs, both internal and external.
• Experience with Postgres and Redis.
• Ability to work with complex database schemas and optimize database performance.
• Experience in writing comprehensive tests using RSpec, Jasmine, and Cucumber.

Front-end Skills

• Familiarity with CoffeeScript and its integration in Rails applications.
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages (such as Haml).

General Skills

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control tools, preferably Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A knack for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Understanding of web app security best practices.
• Knowledge of cloud services (like AWS, Heroku) and experience in deploying Rails applications.
• Familiarity with development aiding tools such as Bower, Bundler, Rake, etc.
• iOS development experience is a huge plus.

Salary Range: 90k - 115k (Dependent on Skills & Experience).
