This role can be based anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada.

The Director, Product Management is a person who is passionate about solving problems and creating a positive impact. They work closely with the Product Owner along with key stakeholders such as Clients, Business Subject Matter Experts, Product Designers, Engineers and various levels of Leadership. The Product Manager will instill a sense of excitement about our products while being the voice of the customer.

Principal/ Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle
  • Contributing to the product vision and roadmap, prioritizing features that will provide the best end-user value and maintaining backlogs
  • Leading, conducting and implementing a user research approach and thinking critically about solving customer pain points, the user needs and wants
  • Identify, prioritize, maintain, and execute against both the backlog and roadmap using a data driven approach.
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition and stay up to date on industry trends
  • Define product or feature requirements and prioritize based on data driven decisions
  • Establishing clear OKRs for your product and utilizing data to monitor, measure and assess key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Lead the UX workstream by closely collaborating with scrum lead, UX product design, engineers, QA and business subject matter experts in the design, development and testing of product or feature
  • Responsible for effectively acting as people manager including performance management, setting goals and measuring results
  • Act as a mentor for other project team members as it relates to product management
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining product management playbook
  • Act as a product management resource and assist with the growth of the discipline across the organization

Required Skills

  • A curious approach to understand and solve problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with all levels of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization
  • Ability to analyze user and market research to support prioritization of products or features
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to give effective presentations to all levels of the organization and engage with clients
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • You're an expert in user research; you can interview users and collect feedback and data to translate their needs into business requirements
  • Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of technology industry experience
  • Proven success in leading and/or working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with B2B2C platforms is preferred
  • Mobility industry experience is an asset but not required

The targets for this role are dependent on market/ geographic location and range from $160,000 to $210,000 CAD.
