Zurich Cover More is seeking a Director of Travel Sales, Canada to join our Group in North America.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Oversees the creation and execution of a territory sales plan to prospect/acquire new accounts and develop/retain existing accounts.
  2. Creates and executes account-specific business development plans and develops sales proposals necessary to increase top line performance, address business partner needs and maintain/improve client satisfaction.
  3. Serves as primary contact and voice of the client for all matters related to relationships with assigned accounts.
  4. Works with functional teams as required to fulfill client needs, execute short term action plans, and implement key initiatives.
  5. Prepares for, participates in, and moderates individual major account quarterly business reviews.
  6. Provides in-person account training on products and services while participating at trade events as attendee, exhibitor and/or sponsorship representative.
  7. Accountable to a pre-determined set of performance goals with an emphasis on account acquisition, account retention, and sustainably profitable growth.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
  2. 5+ years travel industry distribution experience with established relationships in various industry segments.
  3. Strong track record of building/retaining a viable account base.
  4. Technical expertise in all facets of business development.
  5. Skillful communicator both written and oral.
  6. Proven ability to plan and execute.
  7. Innovative, collaborative and results-driven orientation.
  8. Availability and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Travel insurance or other insurance related experience.
