Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Director of Property Management to join our team. The ideal candidate is an effective bilingual communicator who has a ‘can-do’ attitude and can perform in the fast pace of commercial real estate. The candidate will be expected to build relationships with tenants, suppliers and contractors to ensure an efficient on-going operation of all projects. The Director of Property Management will be expected to act as the main liaison with tenants, brokers and contractors on behalf of upper management to ensure that excellent relations are established and maintained through personal contact, customer service and a continuous flow of information.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all real estate management operations, including budget development and expense management for Canadian properties
  • Analyze, implement and manage maintenance and capital expenditure programs, ensuring compliance with approved budgets
  • Supervise the maintenance team and manage property service contracts with suppliers
  • Estimate build-out costs, negotiate contractor quotes and ensure project schedules are met
  • Act as the liaison with suppliers, brokers, tenants, and city officials, handling property-related operations and maintaining up-to-date project records
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure satisfactory operations and maintenance
  • Act as the first point of contact for property-related emergencies

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in real estate management or a related field
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and expense management
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Proficient in negotiating with contractors and managing service contracts
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual in both English and French (spoken & written)
  • Strong proficiency with relevant Microsoft suite product line (knowledge of Yardi is an asset)
