Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an IT Director of Asset Management for a large financial services company. This director will be reporting into the AVP. They will be managing hardware asset management (HAM) and software asset management (SAM) globally and will have a global team. You will be managing a team of 12 to 15 individuals. You will be responsible for the strategy and roadmap of your team for both HAM/SAM. You will be responsible for the vision and articulating your roadmap to senior management and your staff. You will be responsible for owning the delivery of the roadmap and presenting updates to senior management.

Minimum Requirements

  1. 7+ years working within asset management
  2. Experience working as a manager, senior manager, or director of ITAM for a large enterprise
  3. Tooling experience with USU and ServiceNow management
  4. Hardware asset management experience (HAM)
  5. Ability to present to their team and C-suite executives in a business format
  6. Understanding of risks and accurate reporting of data
  7. Experience dealing with contractors, vendors, and managing assets of hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, mobile devices)
  8. Track inventory of these items from a business and financial perspective
  9. SAM experience (software asset management) with an understanding of software licensing terms with large vendors such as IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, and Cloud
  10. Understanding of how software should be used and deployed
  11. Understanding of cloud and managing assets in the cloud (virtual machines, software that sits on those machines)
  12. Measuring the risk of SAM and working with Information Security to ensure no software has vulnerabilities
  13. Knowledge of software contracts and negotiation
  14. Large enterprise experience
  15. Comfortable working flexible hours as the team is global

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  1. Experience running a global team
  2. IT Asset Manager certification (CHAMP) and/or (CITAM) preferred.
