Director of Foodservice Sales - Eastern Canada

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Foodservice Sales to lead our sales operations across Eastern Canada from Quebec. This senior leadership position will drive growth of our brand throughout Quebec and Eastern Canada while managing both foodservice accounts and supporting our industrial business, where we provide eggs as ingredients to manufacturers. Our company maintains manufacturing facilities across Canada, with headquarters in Brockville.

Term: Permanent, Full-Time, Mon-Fri, Day

Work Mode: Hybrid (may need to check into our office occasionally – Upton or Mississauga)

Reports to: VP, Foodservice and Industrial Sales

Direct Reports: 3

Location: Upton, QC J0H 2E0 (or Ontario if strongly bilingual)

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Leadership

1. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to expand market share in Quebec and Eastern Canada
2. Identify new business opportunities and establish strategic partnerships to grow revenue
3. Represent our products at industry events and build relationships with key stakeholders
4. Foster strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts
5. Support our industrial business by developing strategies to increase egg ingredient sales to manufacturers

People Management

1. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team
2. Recruit, train, and retain talented sales professionals
3. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans
4. Create a collaborative team culture focused on achieving targets and professional growth
5. Provide coaching and guidance to team members to enhance their sales techniques

P&L and Budget Management

1. Own P&L responsibility for the Eastern Canada foodservice sales division (Ontario to Atlantic)
2. Develop annual budgets and forecasts for the region
3. Monitor and analyze sales metrics, market trends, and competitive landscape
4. Manage expenses within approved budgets while maximizing profitability
5. Present regular performance reports to executive leadership

Strategic Planning

1. Serve as an active member of the Foodservice and Industrial Leadership Team (FILT)
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives
3. Contribute to product development and marketing initiatives
4. Implement innovative approaches to expand brand presence and market share
5. Coordinate with national manufacturing facilities to ensure optimal product availability

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

1. Extensive experience in senior foodservice sales leadership roles
2. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing market share
3. Strong people management and team development skills
4. Demonstrated success in P&L and budget management
5. Bilingual proficiency in English and French (written and verbal)
6. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
7. Valid driver's license with ability to travel (25% of time)

Preferred

1. Experience in the egg or food product industry
2. In-depth knowledge of the Quebec and Eastern Canadian foodservice landscape
3. Experience in Supply Managed categories
4. Familiarity with food manufacturing and industrial ingredient sales
