As the Director of Finance, you will be reporting directly to the President. You will oversee the management of accounting, finance, and payroll functions. You will play an important role in supporting the business through monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. As a trusted advisor and key contributor to the leadership team, you will be instrumental in shaping our financial performance strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy
- Translate the corporate strategy into formalized financial systems and processes to achieve strategic priorities and outcomes.
- Strengthen the organization’s budget development and oversight processes.
Leadership
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships throughout the Ing & McKee organization and with Navacord stakeholders.
- Lead, develop, mentor and manage a small team that supports the company's financial function.
- Be a role model of ethics and professionalism, striving for excellence in execution, continuous improvement, and delivering business-ready solutions.
Finance
- Oversee the department, including all transactions related to receivables, payables, trust accounts, expenses, payroll, financial reporting and internal customer financing service.
- Responsible for the adherence to generally accepted accounting principles, internal finance controls, and government regulations while communicating and updating the impact of the required changes in those regulations.
- Prepare and/or review reporting packages, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports regarding production, growth, profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets.
- Develop and track financial standards and metrics.
- Project and manage cash flow.
- Key liaison for financial audit, tax filing and compliance.
- Lead the annual budget process.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Relative equivalency experience and education may be considered.
- Extensive finance/accounting experience, with experience at a senior level.
- Strong skills in using accounting information systems and ability to modify.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
- Exemplary work ethic and organizational skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
