Director of Business Development
Lead Sales. Grow Relationships. Expand Our Reach Across Massachusetts.
Who You Are:
You're a sales leader who knows how to build high-performing teams and turn strategy into growth. You lead with a balance of clear direction and genuine support-and your team thrives because of it. You're energized by building relationships, motivated by metrics, and confident navigating both strategy meetings and on-the-ground conversations with partners.
You're ready to scale what works, fix what doesn't, and help your team-and CHC-grow stronger in every territory we serve.
If you're ready to lead a mission-focused team, deepen referral relationships, and drive strategic growth across Massachusetts-we're ready to welcome you as our next Director of Business Development.
Who We Are:
- Established in 2008, CHC is Massachusetts' premier visiting nursing home healthcare company that provides quality care to our vulnerable psychiatric population.
- CHC proudly cares for over 1,000 patients throughout Massachusetts and has a team of over 200 employees.
- CHC is a company that values all of our employees and embraces their feedback, while always striving to meet 100% employee satisfaction.
- CHC is proud to be Joint Commission accredited and is the only psychiatric home healthcare agency in MA to achieve this stature.
What You'll Do:
This leadership position blends strategy, mentorship, and relationship development. At a high level, you'll define the overarching strategy and manage CHC's Business Development Manager (BDM) team across four regions throughout Massachusetts.
You will:
- SET THE COURSE: Develop and implement high-impact sales strategies that fuel growth, elevate the CHC brand, and align with our mission of compassionate, community-rooted care.
- LEAD WITH PURPOSE: Support and develop our Business Development Managers. Empower them with clear goals, smart tools, and the kind of coaching that actually changes performance. Build them up. Hold them accountable. Help them win.
- PARTNER WITH POWER: Collaborate with our CEO and executive leadership team on new initiatives, including the expansion of our Valley Mental Health Services, as well as strengthen the CHC brand in all corners of the state.
- ANALYZE, REPORT, REPEAT: Leverage data to inform decisions, refine processes, and stay a step ahead of market shifts and competitor activity. Forecast, diagnose, and optimize performance-then teach your team how to do the same.
- BE PRESENT: Whether it's joining a key partner meeting, walking a territory with a team member, or representing CHC at a statewide event-you're hands-on and in the mix. Support your people. Lead by example. Drive the kind of culture others talk about but rarely build.
- DRIVE REFERRAL GROWTH: Strengthen relationships with top referral sources-hospitals, mental health providers, substance abuse facilities, primary care practices, and community organizations. Build trust, uncover needs, and ensure CHC is always top of mind.
- DEVELOP HIGH-VALUE PIPELINES: Identify untapped opportunities across territories. Work with BDMs to open doors, re-engage cold leads, and turn one-time referrals into consistent partnerships.
Why You Want This Opportunity:
- IMPACT: You're not selling fluff-you're connecting people to life-changing care.
- HIGH VISIBILITY: You'll work directly with leadership to shape CHC's future-and your own.
- COMPENSATION THAT RESPECTS YOUR VALUE: Competitive base salary with strong benefits including medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, and company-paid life insurance plus autonomy to do your best work.
- FLEXIBILITY AND REACH: This is a hybrid role. Work from home or from any of our four offices across the state-Methuen, Everett, New Bedford, and Worcester-where the relationships are built.
What You Need:
- Strategic Sales Mindset: You don't just chase leads. You design systems that generate them.
- Coaching Skills that Stick: You elevate your team without micromanaging.
- Data-Driven Execution: You read numbers like a language and know how to translate them into wins.
- Relationship Building Acumen: From cold outreach to high-level partnerships, you know how to connect and convert.
- Healthcare Know-How: Mental health or home health experience is a plus, but raw leadership talent matters more. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred but not required.
- Tech-Comfortable: CRMs, tracking tools, Microsoft Office-you're fluent.
Let's Go!
You know how to build relationships, drive numbers, and lead people-and we've built the kind of company where that actually matters.
