About the Role:

As part of the Operations team reporting to the VP, Solutions & Information Delivery, this individual will be responsible for the Information Delivery and Performance Reporting team; and for the analysis, generation, and distribution of reports to AGF’s internal and external stakeholders. Key internal stakeholders include Investment Management, Client Services, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Legal & Compliance.

The team’s mandate is to support and ensure the timely delivery of various reports, including:

  1. Internal management reporting
  2. Institutional client reporting
  3. Regulatory reporting
  4. RFP, RFI, and due diligence support
  5. Performance, attribution, and GIPS
  6. Marketing presentation support

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Gather, analyze, and deliver quality solutions to meet reporting needs of various stakeholders.
  2. Act as the liaison between report requestors and data source providers needed to create the reports; understand where data resides within AGF’s data storage structures.
  3. Manage the Information Delivery & Performance Reporting team and provide oversight to the team’s work and processes.
  4. Delivery of performance, risk, and performance attribution reporting.
  5. Assess reporting tools and ensure that the team is knowledgeable and able to adapt to using new tools available at AGF.
  6. Represent the reporting team on projects to determine any impacts to existing reports and requirements for new reports.
  7. Lead operational initiatives to improve the reporting processes; seek opportunities for operational efficiencies and modernization of reporting tools.
  8. Collaborate with the AGF IT group to further develop existing technology and strategize with business stakeholders to analyze various vendor options.
  9. Manage several concurrent priorities, dealing with planning, resourcing constraints, and implementation.
  10. Perform and document Quality Assurance testing on upgrades, enhancements, releases and patches received by various system vendors that impact the report process.
  11. Build and maintain positive working relationships by effectively communicating and regularly sharing information and knowledge with the team, in addition to internal and external partners.
  12. Respond in a timely manner to update clients on the status of their report requests.

Your Requirements:

  1. 5+ years technical/business experience in the investment management industry.
  2. Experience working with investment systems such as trade order management, portfolio management, and investment accounting systems.
  3. Thorough understanding of data across asset classes and security types (equity, fixed income, credit, FX, derivatives).
  4. Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, visualization skills, and experience using reporting tools, preferably with Power BI or Tableau.
  5. Advanced skills in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  6. People and team management experience.
  7. Experience with Bloomberg PORT+ or PORT Enterprise and Eagle PACE is an asset.
  8. Experience with performance, risk, and attribution reporting.
  9. University degree required. Additionally, CFA is preferred; CAIA is a nice to have.
