Director of Systems and Information Technology

Reporting to the Director General, the Director of Systems & IT Services will provide leadership in the implementation, development, and management of various information and technology systems that are used across the Quebec education sector and locally within the School Board. Also, as the Director of Information Technology Services, the incumbent will be responsible for managing IT resources, infrastructure, and information security. This Director will be responsible for helping New Frontiers leverage technology to increase student engagement and staff productivity.

Responsibilities:

1. Optimizing operations across the system;
2. Overseeing, monitoring, and evaluating the staff under the incumbent’s immediate responsibility;
3. Preparing the departments’ budgets and monitoring expenses;
4. Working with the senior leadership team in the development of objectives, policies, programs, and services;
5. Representing the School Board on internal, external, regional and/or provincial committees;
6. Any other responsibility compatible with the duties which may be assigned by the Director General.

Qualifications:

1. Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study certifying a minimum three-year university program;
2. Eight (8) years of relevant experience;
3. Proficiency in English and French.

3. Is able to work collaboratively under pressure and within time constraints;
4. Is familiar with data management systems, including dashboards, and artificial intelligence;
5. Has experience using various Ministry systems such as GRICS, Collecte-Info, etc.;
6. Has experience in public sector administration.
