Director, Hedge Accounting

An amazing opportunity to join one of the top largest financial service organizations in Canada as Director, Hedge Accounting! This is not your traditional hedge accounting role, as it will be advisory focused to deal with platforms, complex accounting and pronouncements. This role gives candidates the perfect opportunity to participate in timely compliance of appropriate accounting hedge procedures and compliance with company policy.

Responsibilities of the Director, Hedge Accounting include but are not limited to:

• Consulting service to business units of existing hedge accounting tools and improving service
• Execute managerial duties relating to team of finance professionals
• Assess accounting standard changes where required

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/requirements:

• CPA with 7+ years of senior accounting experience
• Senior Manager from the Big 4 or relevant financial services experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
