Guiding Success Through Strategic Project Leadership

As the Director, Enterprise Project Management Office, you will oversee the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and the Operational Readiness Office to support Home Hardware’s transformational strategy and change management services. Led by the Vice-President, ERP & Project Management Office, this opportunity will suit someone who has excellent leadership and facilitation skills.

  1. Lead the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) team vision and planning while applying best practices for development, delivery, and support of the Enterprise Portfolio Plan (EPP) to meet the business needs and ensure successful project completion.
  2. Establish and maintain project governance standards including policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure consistent project management practices across the organization.
  3. Lead the Operational Readiness Office team to support EPP Projects.
  4. Oversee the project portfolio to prioritize projects, allocate resources efficiently, and manage interdependencies among projects.
  5. Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources (human, financial, and technological) across projects and identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the project portfolio to ensure successful project outcomes.
  6. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and addressed.
  7. Foster the growth and development of Team Members by providing coaching, mentoring, and opportunities for professional development, while also promoting a collaborative and inclusive team culture by facilitating open communication, encouraging idea-sharing, and ensuring Team Members are well-informed and engaged.
  8. Clearly communicate the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the EPMO to the team. Provide direction and inspire the team to achieve high performance and align their efforts with organizational objectives.

We’re looking for:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Performance Management with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  2. Proven enterprise level solutions-oriented results and decision maker with a focus on the big picture.
  3. Directing continuous process improvement and ensure Team Members are focused on the highest value initiatives.
  4. Excellent leadership, facilitation, problem-solving, interpersonal and Team Member management skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to present difficult concepts in understandable terms to all levels in the organization.
  6. Attention to detail, organizational/time management with strong inclination to self-development.
  7. Proven ability to be flexible, to prioritize and be able to respond to multiple competing priorities.
  8. Strong business acumen and awareness of technical trends.
  9. Ability to balance risk, cost and benefit while maintaining customer service orientation.
  10. Extensive transformational knowledge/experience, including experience with advisory companies (i.e., Gartner).
  11. The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
