Must have Credit Audit Experience from a large Bank and must have operated within Commercial Banking space.

Conducts audit engagements to critically assess management and internal control processes, approving the nature, extent and timing of the audit, its execution and the formulation of insightful audit reports. Reports on audits to provide clear, concise and memorable insights on issues and potential issues to assist management in fulfilling mandates. This work provides vital assurance to the Board of Directors and senior management on the quality of internal control systems and reduces the risk of loss and reputational damage to the Company.

  • Provides expertise in Credit Audit on the Commercial Banking side.
  • Acts as a trusted resource providing advice to executive leaders of business/group on risk, governance and internal controls.
  • Meets regularly with business/group stakeholders to identify changing strategies, tactics, and initiatives across the business/group and evaluate changes to the nature, and extent of risk environments.
  • Ensures that all audits for which the role is responsible are conducted effectively and efficiently to the high standards set out by the Corporate Audit.
  • Motivates continued high performance by enhancing and executing Corporate Audit People Strategy including skill transformation and career development.
  • Executes audits in full recognition of the risks of the group that encompass the inherent risks, control risks and internal/external environment and regulatory risks.
  • Conducts advisory engagements and other engagements as required.
  • Identifies control deficiencies and provides a fair and balanced assessment of their magnitude.
  • Develops and maintains good working relations with key stakeholders.
  • Actively monitors change management initiatives and identifies potential risks.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 10+ years of relevant experience in Audit Leadership for Credit and Commercial Banking and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional designations such as CIA, CPA-Audit.
  • Experience with Credit Audit (must have).

Compensation and Benefits: $113,900.00 - $211,800.00

Pay Type: Salaried
