Our People Consulting professionals assist our clients in successfully managing and sustaining people, process and/or technology change. Our services include HR technology assessments, process design & transformation, vendor assessment & selection, target operating models’ definition, HCM implementation, and post-implementation optimization.

We are looking for a Dayforce Senior Consultant to join our rapidly growing Digital Workforce Transformation practice across Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax, Vancouver, Calgary).

Responsibilities

  1. Lead process discussion, gather requirements, configure, and test the Dayforce system on modules including Payroll, benefits, workforce management, core HR, performance, recruitment, and learning.
  2. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex HR technology and implementation concepts.
  3. Deliver quality services. Value and model excellent client service by establishing goals and implementation plans to achieve high quality deliverables within expected timeframes. Monitor progress, manage risk, and confirm key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  4. Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients. Focus on deliverables and client implementation priorities. Understand the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers and business trends.
  5. Demonstrate high levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new knowledge. Keep up to date with current developments and trends in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
  6. Participate in the development of new business opportunities. Understand EY, its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with other EY team members across all practices to serve client needs.

To qualify, candidates must have:

  1. A related bachelor's degree.
  2. Approximately 2+ years of experience in HCM system implementations with a Dayforce experience preferred.
  3. Dayforce certification is a plus.
  4. Experience in HCM system configuration.
  5. Strong understanding of HR processes and data.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Experience in participating and/or leading client discussions – requirements gathering, user stories/test scenario creation, solution configuration, lead/support testing and drive deployment.
  9. Ability to work through a problem with limited information. Demonstrates an approach to take a problem or situation to the next steps.
  10. Demonstrates curiosity; to understand how and why a problem or issue exists.
  11. Comfortable with ambiguity and finding creative approaches to take the next step.
  12. Business analytical skills – make observations, anticipate client and management needs or expectations.
  13. Team / work engagement – dealing with varying team /stakeholder environment, knowing importance of different communication styles and messaging based on different stakeholders.
  14. Work collaboratively in a team environment (knows when to lead and when to follow.)
  15. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  16. High level of motivation and a self-starting attitude.
