Digital Media Lead

Say "cheese"! We’re working with Arla, the international CPG company that’s home to deliciously familiar dairy brands like Tre Stelle, Castello, and Apetina. Specifically, we’re on the hunt for a high-impact Digital Media Lead who will make waves on their team. This role sits on Arla’s internal, global media agency, The Barn. In it, you'll be a key player in our Arla's digital landscape, creating campaigns that resonate with audiences worldwide and developing strategies that align the Canadian media approach to a global strategy. You’ll work with established local retailers and a wide variety of paid media platforms to maintain the company’s strong foothold in their market and maximize profitability. From optimizing ad spend, to ideating digital campaigns with the Brand team, to analyzing performance metrics, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Arla’s digital media presence and driving tangible results.

Key Responsibilities

As a Digital Media Lead you will:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the digital media team to implement global marketing strategies in Canada and bring life across a wide variety of channels and platforms.
  • Work with the local Brand and Marketing team to own digital media planning and strategy, then execute on those campaigns throughout the year.
  • Set up paid social and programmatic campaigns to drive engagement and reach wide audiences. Platforms include but are not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, SnapChat, Youtube.
  • Work with partnering retailers and customer digital platforms (e.g., Walmart, Loblaws, Sobeys, etc.) to support and execute media buys.
  • Analyze campaign performance and conduct post-buy analysis, using findings to recommend strategic and tactical changes across social and programmatic channels.
  • Assist with data and KPI analysis using various ad-tech tools and Analytics 360.
  • Collaborate with ad trafficking, ad serving, and finance departments as part of the digital media process.
  • Thoroughly research and understand the company’s target audience and develop innovative strategies to reach them by developing engaging buys, content and customer journeys.
  • Test new digital media channels and evaluate potential technological development for the media team.
  • Identify consumer trends, build external networks with agency partners, and customers to ensure a modern, ever-evolving digital media strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams within the organization, building trust and a high degree of communication.
  • Monitor, identify and track consumer trends, ensuring the digital strategy remains relevant based on evolving trends and insights from key stakeholders and agency partners.
  • Cultivate strong cross functional working relationships, building trust and a high degree of communication.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 4+ years of digital marketing experience; experience in CPG is preferred.
  • Previous experience with ad ops on digital and social channels, ideally in the Retail Digital Media.
  • Strong knowledge of various digital media technologies (e.g., Ad Servers, DSPs, Analytics, etc.) and social ad serving channels (e.g., Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, Linkedin, Youtube, etc.).
  • Proven experience developing creative and comprehensive media plans and strategies, then leading them to fruition.
  • Experience in collaborating with agency partners to execute media buys, conduct optimizations, and evaluate program success.
  • Well-versed in MS Office.
