Digital and Technology Systems Coordinator
Job description
The Digital and Technology Systems Coordinator is responsible for ensuring operational and technology needs are met in support of the Alberta School Boards Association’s business operations. The ideal candidate is an organized systems thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and communicate business needs clearly.
About Alberta School Boards Association
ASBA is the provincial association supporting 65 locally-elected public, catholic and francophone member school boards across Alberta, Yellowknife and Lloydminster. ASBA is a private non-profit corporation established by the Alberta School Boards Association Act, serving members since 1907. ASBA supports and builds the capacity of boards and trustees, including advice and training in leadership, professional development, governance and advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Director of Executive Office with the modernization and optimization of internal business processes;
- Collaborating with all departments to assess technology needs, identify gaps, and recommend solutions;
- Aligning Association’s use of technology with business objectives;
- Providing first-level technical support and escalating issues as required;
- Supporting event operations for conferences, business meetings, and other events as required;
- Liaising with third-party service providers and/or developers by articulating business requirements and overseeing service delivery;
- Managing the Association’s use of applications, including user access, roles, and permissions;
- Updating and maintaining databases as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in computer science, business operations or related field;
- 1 – 3 years of experience;
- High proficiency with MS365 and SharePoint;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects;
- Ability to assess and translate business needs to technical terms;
- Organized systems thinker;
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Assets
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate Platform;
- Experience with managing cloud-based intranet solutions;
- Experience coordinating A/V or technical solutions for in-person, online, and hybrid events and conferences;
- Knowledge and/or experience in practical and ethical AI business solutions;
- Clear communication skills.
Job information
- Permanent; full-time (35 hours per week); occasional travel and overtime may be required
- Location: hybrid; online and in-person at 9925-109 Street, Edmonton, AB
- Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Further details regarding total compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
