Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The Diesel Technician will also provide excellent customer service, working closely with clients to address their needs. Ford Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  2. Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to repair or assemble components as needed.
  3. Operate heavy equipment safely while conducting repairs or maintenance tasks.
  4. Work on farm machinery and other diesel-powered vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  5. Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs, repairs performed, and any additional recommendations.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  7. Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and service quality within the dealership.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience in automotive repair or a related field, with a focus on diesel engines preferred.
  2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
  3. Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
  4. Proficiency in using hand tools and welding techniques.
  5. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  7. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel technology are advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
