Job Title: Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Equipment
Location: Ottawa
Salary: $17.00- $30.00/hour (Negotiable depending upon experience)

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join a reputable company specializing in bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose, repair, and maintain bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy equipment to ensure efficient operation.
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
3. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
4. Conduct inspections to ensure machinery meets safety and operational standards.
5. Replace or repair defective parts and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic components.
6. Work closely with the operations team to ensure minimal downtime and smooth workflow.
7. Maintain accurate service records and report any major issues to the maintenance manager.

Requirements:

Language Skills:

1. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication.

Education:

1. Certification in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent training is preferred.

Experience:

1. 2+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician, specializing in bulldozers and excavators.
2. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
3. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
