The role
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team at Augmenta. You will be expected to wear many hats: first responder, build management, capacity planning, and monitoring. Provide a pragmatic “best practices” approach, which should be demonstrated in previous work experiences.
What you will do
- Deploy and configure web infrastructure and applications
- Monitor Infrastructure for availability, performance, and security
- Devise appropriate release procedures for applications and services
- Plan and upgrade the infrastructure and products
- Recommend and implement tools for performance, security, and availability
- Automate processes where possible
- Ensure compliance to security risks
- Provide operational support and raise alerts to the development team
About you
- 1+ years experience with Docker and container orchestration systems (AWS ECS, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Amazon Web Services strongly recommended (ECS, RDS, IAM, EKS, DynamoDB, Cognito)
- Linux administration experience (CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian)
- Experience with CI/CD processes and tools, automated builds, and deployments
- Experience in configuration management (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Experience with monitoring tools
- Strong scripting experience
- Clear communication
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- Certification in AWS such as Solution Architect or DevOps Engineer.

Our location
Our team is remote-first and fully distributed! We have team members across Canada, the US, Italy, and other locations around the world. This means that we often collaborate asynchronously via Slack and Video Conferencing.
