Developer - Java/Python/Open Stack

Project description

This resource will be part of the Murex team at the client and will own 4-5 custom applications that are part of the Murex ecosystem (upstream and downstream) that manage inputs and outputs to Murex. These applications leverage Java/Python/AWS skillsets and the resource is expected to be able to work on CICD pipeline and other initiatives that use open stack skillsets.

Responsibilities

• Manage timelines/deliverables within the team towards the successful delivery of projects.
• Design software solutions by interacting with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff, and peers to understand requirements.
• Develop solutions that are in line with the client's technology biases, deliver efficiency and scalability, and enable new trading activities.
• Provide knowledge transfer to team members and support staff through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation.

SKILLS

Must have

• University degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
• Proven track record in team leadership, managing development processes.
• Good communication skills, strong client-facing skills, and able to manage client's expectations.
• Experience in Python in an enterprise environment, covering the whole development life cycle.
• Strong technical skills in JAVA core, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Multi-threading, Concurrency, Performance tuning (6+ years).
• Strong knowledge of SQL (MS SQL Server) to be able to make queries, update the structure, and normalize data (4+ years).
• Good understanding and practical experience in DevOps AWS, CI/CD (2+ years).
• Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Urbancode, JUnit, Liquibase, SonarQube (4+ years).
• Confident user of Jira, Confluence.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum framework (2+ years on past projects).
