About the role
Join the Technology Solutions Team, where we are developing the next generation of software applications to enable CMHC to achieve its strategy. Your skills and passion for collaborative application development, programming, leading teams, user-centric design and software reliability will contribute to the development and maintenance of CMHC’s business platforms and other applications to propel CMHC forward efficiently and securely.
What you’ll do:
- Design, configure and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines to automate the build, test and deployment processes.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects ensuring that software is delivered to production and other environments efficiently and reliably.
- Create and manage development, staging, and production environments ensuring consistency and alignment with project requirements.
- Manage source code repositories, branching strategies and version control using Azure DevOps and Git.
- Implement security checks, collaborate with the security team and developers to address vulnerabilities and threats and mainly to embed security practices into development workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for DevOps processes, procedures and infrastructure configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the software development process and streamline workflows.
- Complete application development projects for SDLC implementation into production.
What you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience programming, developing, and implementing business applications. This experience would be in roles and projects with increasing complexity in application development.
- A strong expertise in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- A proven experience as an Azure DevOps engineer or similar role.
- A familiarity with source control systems and branching strategies.
- Experience with containerization technologies.
- Proven interpersonal, leadership and business competencies, including teamwork, facilitation, communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
Technologies:
- Source code management and DevOps with Azure DevOps and Git.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP) Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions App, Azure Service Bus and API Management.
It would be great if you also had:
- A graduate degree or certificate in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Technical certifications in application architecture, cloud development and administration (ex. Azure Administrator, Azure developer, DevOps Engineer).
