What does a Security Guard for The RCMP do?

Ensure the protection of people, assets, and property.

Point of contact with authorities and emergency services.

• Complete administrative functions.

Qualifications to become a Security Guard for the RCMP detachment

• Available to work flexible hours (days, evenings, nights, weekdays, weekends).
• Policing or corrections background or 3+ years as a high-profile security officer.
• First Aid CPR Level C (issued by Red Cross, St John Ambulance, Heart and Stroke).
• Permanent Canadian resident for a minimum of 5 years.
• Have a clear criminal background.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Federal Reliability Security Clearance status.
• Be eligible to work in Canada.
• Bilingual is an asset (as needed per location).
