Job description

Working as an integral part of the Information Technology Department, reporting directly to the Senior Systems Administrator, this position provides Information Technology (IT) support for Squamish Nation end-users. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs network, computer, and peripheral hardware. Responsible for adding, removing, and/or changing user accounts as directed. Assists in maintaining desktop infrastructure and with the implementation of approved projects. Responsible for maintaining inventory, tracking orders, receiving inventory, etc. Provides training to Squamish Nation end-users, as directed. Acts as an assistant to the IT Team. Adheres to workplace health & safety policies, safe work practices, and procedures. Participates as a member of Information Technology and Finance, Administration & IT teams.

  • Combination of education and experience.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work professionally with end users of varying levels of computer competency.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and the ability to analyze, classify, and document user requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining system and business concepts/processes to end users and software developers.
  • Capability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Resourceful and organized with excellent time management abilities.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing a high volume of user correspondence.
  • Team-oriented with a positive, approachable attitude.

Salary: $52,522 - $58,231 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
